| Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu is a form of acupressure that originated in Japan in the 700's. It is a natural art which facilitates the restoration of an individual's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance. Using 12 pulses (6 each side), a Jin Shin session begins with listening to these pulses, revealing to the practitioner information about the current flow of energy and state of being of the client. When one or more of these energy pathways become blocked, a local disruption can occur, eventually resulting in disharmony of the energetic pathway.
A session generally lasts an hour. It is practiced by placing fingertips (over clothing) in various combinations onto the energy pathways and gently holding these points until complete harmony of energy and pulsation is established. The practitioner acts as a “jumper cable”, thus allowing universal energy to flow through the client's body and reawaken its natural healing ability.
Stress and environmental factors can all accumulate in our body/minds and the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is a method of restoring our body/mind to balance, releasing deep tension, and restoring harmonious flow along its energetic pathways.
This technique can be effective for physical as well as emotional problems; people frequently have experiences of spiritual integration during or after a session. Stress is alleviated and the client leaves feeling much more centered and relaxed. |
